Tremper Trojanette Dance Team Kid’s Clinic - Feb. 1

  • The Tremper Trojanette Dance Team is holding a kid’s clinic for children from kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • Participants will learn a short and routine on the first day of the clinic while also enjoying other activities with the Trojanettes. On the second day, participants will come back and perform the routine at halftime of a Tremper basketball game!
  • When? Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, 4:15-6 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Where? Tremper High School
  • Cost? $15.00.  Cost includes a t-shirt, small gift, and complimentary tickets to the basketball game for the participant and their parents/guardians
  • Please RSVP to Coach Elise Elmblad no later than Friday, Jan. 26 through email at eelmblad@kusd.edu.  Indicate the following in the email: name of participant, grade, t-shirt size (child small, medium, large or adult small, medium, large, x-large, 2x-large, or 3x-large, parent/suardian’s name and number, emergency contact name and number.

  • At the Parkway Chateau, Kenosha
  • Silent Auction Opens at 5:30 p.m., dinner and scholarship awards program begins at 6 p.m.
  • Reserved seating - $25.00 per person, table of 8 - $200.00
  • Must be reserved and paid by Feb. 16
  • Keynote speaker: Gilbert Brown, children's advocate, hall of fame Green Bay Packer

 

Autism: Making Connections - March 8

  • Stocker Elementary School – 6315 67th St (Enter Door 1)
  • Free meal (pizza) – 5:30 p.m. Presentation – 6-7 p.m.
  • Free child-care provided!
  • This free presentation is open to the public and designed for families that want to know more about autism, the available programs, supports and services. Make connections with session topics that include: • Basic characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders • How to get started on a path to helping your family support your child • How to work best as a team with your school district.
  • To register for the program, contact Rachel at (262) 359-2256. You will need to leave your name as well as the number of adults attending and the number of children and their ages for child care. Please call with your RSVP by Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Seeking Board Members

  • The Education Foundation of Kenosha was organized in 1980 to support the Kenosha Unified School District and its mission. The Foundation has financed a wide range of educational and enrichment projects not able to be funded through the District's normal budgetary allotments.
  • The Board raises and administers funds to support:
    • College scholarships for Kenosha K-12 students
    • Classroom grants to support K-12 teachers
  • Commitment:
    • Attend four board meetings per year
    • Promote and attend fundraising events
    • Participate on one subcommittee
