High School Summer Opportunities

Courses

  • PE Foundations – incoming 9th grade students
    • Physical Education Foundations will introduce fitness to students through many different activities, including team sports, individual sports, and organized fitness activities. Implementation of the SPARK curriculum for high school will come from Physical Education Foundations. This course must be successfully completed before entering any of the other offered physical education courses.
  • Active Lifestyles PE – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
    • Active Lifestyles class emphasizes the importance of staying fit and healthy individually. Students will be able to learn different ways to take responsibility for their fitness and health through individual lifetime sports and individual fitness opportunities. SPARK curriculum will continue with emphasis on individual fitness building lessons.
  • Lifetime Fitness PE – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
    • Lifetime Fitness class will teach students fitness and the importance of fitness through team sports and team building. Students will have the opportunity to cooperatively learn the importance of staying fit and the healthy aspects of lifetime sports. SPARK curriculum will continue with emphasis on team lessons.

  • Session 1: Tuesday, June 17, 2025, through Tuesday, July 8, 2025 (15 days)
  • No school: Friday, July 4, 2025
  • Session 2: Wednesday,, July 9, 2025, through Tuesday, July 29, 2025 (15 days)
  • Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Registration Process

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 24, 2025, students can enroll utilizing the link for the PE Lottery for potential summer school PE openings.

The high school will reach out regarding openings they have for Summer Session PE after Lottery enrollments are completed.  All communication for PE are handled at the high school locations. Please communicate directly with their office should you have questions.

  • Personal Fitness – incoming 9th grade students
  • Fitness Lifestyle Design – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
  • Personal Fitness II – incoming 10th through 12th grade students
  • Life Management Skills – (health course) incoming 9th through 12 grade students
