Transition to eSchool Program
As of April 2023, the KUSD School Board Approved the dissolution of Kenosha eSchool as a School District charter school and approved the transition to a school program. Please note this will not have a major impact for most of our students. We will continue to service students who want to take all of their courses online (full time students) and those that want to take one or two courses with us (part time). There are a few changes that families should be aware of starting next year (23/24)…
- eSchool will no longer be allowed (per the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction) to take on full time open enrolled students.
- All students will be dual enrolled with eSchool and their home school (not applicable to abeyance/expelled students).
- As students are dual enrolled with their boundary school, they will receive a diploma from their boundary school (even if they take all their courses online). Additionally, fully online eSchool students will participate in graduation at their boundary school.
- Many statewide tests will may be taken at the boundary school. We are still working on which tests will be taken at the boundary school and what tests will be taken at Kenosha eSchool. We will keep you informed as those decisions are made.
- Moving forward we will now be known as the Kenosha eSchool Program.
These are the only changes affecting our students. We will continue to offer high quality, online instruction for KUSD students. If you have questions or concerns regarding this change, I encourage you to reach out to Principal Anthony Casper by email acasper@kusd.edu or by contacting him at 262-359-7715.
2023-24: All full time students currently enrolled in eSchool for the 2022/23 school will be re-enrolled for 2023/24 to the eSchool Program unless you notify us of other plans.
Registration: We have already completed our lottery for next year. There are still openings in the elementary program. There is currently a waitlist for both middle school and high school full time students. We are still taking part time students at the high school level. If you are interested in taking a part time course with eSchool please discuss this with your boundary school counselor.
