Honors Advanced Course Completion Requirement

Requirement Summary

    • Students must successfully complete 100% of the Honors/Advanced assignments (including the Honors/Advanced exam), or they will be awarded the
regular level credit upon successful completion of the course.
    • If a regular credit version of a course is not available, the policy will default to the required 60% overall grade (with zeroes for missing/incomplete work calculated in) in order to attempt the final exam. Example: AP courses and Foreign Language courses such as Spanish and German II-IV are only offered at the Honors or Advanced level. These courses would require at least 60 % overall grade (with zeroes for missing/incomplete work calculated in) rather than 100% of the assignments complete in order to attempt the final exam.
    • Any unfinished work will result in a partial or zero grade and will be calculated into the final course grade.
    • High School Final Exam Requirements are applicable for Honors/Advanced level courses:
      • Students must pass their final exam and receive an overall passing grade of 60% or better to earn credit for a course.
      • Students must have 60% overall grade (with zeroes for missing/incomplete work calculated in), 100% of the Honors/Advanced assignments complete, and be cleared through their teacher in order to attempt a final exam.
