Hello AP Students and Families,
This letter contains important information for students who have registered to take a College Board AP Exam this school year.
There has been a significant change in the format of the AP exams. Some exams are fully digital while others are hybrid digital. As a result, all students are required to download the Bluebook app on their school Chromebooks before exam day. Detailed instructions on how to download the app can be found on slides 7 through 12 of the following Google Slideshow: Click here. To ensure all of the necessary updates have been completed, students should open Bluebook the day before their exam.
It is highly recommended that students preview an exam through Bluebook to familiarize themselves with the app’s features. On testing day, students will need to know their College Board login credentials as we are unable to retrieve or reset any login usernames or passwords. If students need assistance with their login information, they must call College Board prior to test day at 888-225-5427.
AP Exams begin the week of May 5 and will last for two weeks. The AP schedule is posted here. Specific testing locations and student report time is attached at the end of this letter. Students will need to know the day, location, and session of their test(s).
On Exam Day, students must bring a fully charged Chromebook along with the charging cord, a photo ID, and MyAP College Board login information. Optional items include an approved calculator (as determined by exam) and a small snack and water bottle for their break. Please click here to review what to bring on Exam Day.
Cell phones and watches are prohibited until students have been dismissed from the testing room. If a student brings a phone or watch, it must be turned off and will be collected by the proctor during the exam.
Students are responsible for their own transportation. Please note that the time listed for each exam below is for the exam only. The total time of an AP exam varies depending on the number of students taking the exam, as well as reading instructions aloud, completing identification information on answer sheets, distribution and collecting materials, and the student break in between test sections. If you are picking up your student, estimate an extra 20-30 minutes to exam timing. Ensure you have flexible and reliable transportation for testing!
Exams begin promptly at 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, so students must report earlier to allow enough time to check in each student. Refer to the ‘Student Report Time’ column for each testing location. Unless otherwise informed, testing will occur at the locations listed below. There will be staff inside the buildings to help students get to their correct location.
