This is my second year of teaching, as well as my second year hear at Lance. Some of my hobbies include going to the gym, running, playing video games, hanging out with friends and family, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. When it comes to sports, I generally don’t have a favorite team other than football as I am a Lions fans (well before they started to become good the past couple years). I have a smaller family that consist of my parents, my brother and sister-in-law, and two nieces and a nephew. When it comes to my favorite unit that will be taught during the 6th grade Social studies year has to be Asia. It is the last unit we learn about in the school year but it has a lot of information that students do not know about and find interesting. As well we do some very fun projects that get students to be creative to showcase their learning and understanding. |

English | I am so excited for my 4th year teaching 6th grade English here at Lance! I love playing ‘matchmaker’ by connecting my students with books they will love! Outside of Lance, I am a big fan of the Wisconsin Badgers Women’s Volleyball team, and I love traveling to go ride roller coasters across the country. In between life’s busy moments, I love snuggling in with both my cat, Mara, and puppy, Oliver! I can’t wait for a great year! |

Math | Math has always been my favorite and I’m so lucky to share my passion for numbers, finding patterns, and problem-solving with students. I like to get students up and working at the whiteboards, collaborating with peers, and encouraging everyone’s best effort while meeting the collective needs of each class and individual. In my class, we operate with a growth mindset as we are open to learning and know that struggle helps us become better learners and students. I value effort over perfection! When I am not busy in the classroom, I am busy with my fireman husband and two teenagers. Kaylee will be attending Winona State University this coming fall and Evan will be a junior at Westosha Central High School. Attending their football games, basketball games and cheerleading competitions has kept me running but has been so much fun! I am excited to start my 5th year at Lance and look forward to another math-inspired school year. |

Science | My name is Mr. Larson! I have been teaching for 8 years and this is my 5th year at Lance. I love to spend time with my family, go down by Lake Michigan, read, drink coffee, weightlift and root for the Packers! I love teaching Earth Science! We are going to have a great time exploring all kinds of topics about space and Earth! A fun fact about me is that I have been to 5 other countries around the world (Jamaica, Bahamas, England, Scotland, and India). I can’t wait to see you in my class! |
