Math | Hello and Welcome to Lance! My name is Ms. Murrie. I teach 6th grade math in the Trailblazer House. This is my 27th year teaching. Most of those years have been right here at Lance. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, crafting, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. |

Science | Hi everyone! I am Samantha Strangberg and I’m a 6th Grade Science teacher here at Lance Middle School. I’ve taught in both elementary and middle school. I have been teaching since 2020 but I’ve been involved with working with children for much longer than that! Ever since I was very young, I knew I wanted to work with kids. When I was in college, I started working in an afterschool and summer camp program and all of that experience has helped me become the teacher I am today. I’ve learned to incorporate many different ways of learning into my everyday teaching and that makes the learning process exciting and fun! |

Welcome to 6th Grade at Lance Middle School-
My name is Mrs. Cetera and this is my glorious 31st year of teaching. I am super excited to begin this year with all of you. I have 4 children of my own: 2 boys and 2 girls. You will learn quickly that I talk about my dogs: Bear and Tara quite often. I also love to give out Oreo cookies as a reward. |

Social Studies | Hello, I’m Paula Owens, an educator with 33 years of experience, 27 of which have been at Lance Middle School. Education and fostering a love for learning are fundamental aspects of my life. From a young age, my mother instilled in me the belief that “going to school is the most important job.” I’ve passed this wisdom on to my three daughters, now to my grandchildren, and to my students. My personal motto is: “Knowledge is power,” a philosophy I wholeheartedly embrace. In my classroom, I cultivate an environment of care, respect, enjoyment, exploration, and collaboration. By delving into the realm of world geography, we engage with diverse cultures worldwide in a dynamic and enjoyable manner. Students are empowered to choose their learning paths and demonstrate their understanding creatively. |

Resource | Hi, Lance Middle School, I am Joanna Miller, a sixth grade resource teacher. I have been at Lance for the last 21 years. I have taught in seventh grade for twelve years and in sixth grade for the past nine years. I am a wife and a mother of two daughters. I live quite a distance away from Lance, so I am totally into listening to podcasts on my drive to and from Lance. I love to travel while visiting new places on each trip. I also love reading, biking, and baking. I love the energy that Lance brings to staff and students. Lance is a great place to learn, teach, and enhance learning in all aspects. I went to Carthage College in Kenosha for my Bachelor’s and I went to Concordia for my Master’s. |
